Nnadozie Downplays Injury Worry In Falcons’ Camp

Date:

Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie has expressed optimism that a knock she copped in the Federation Cup final victory of her team last week will not stop her from making Nigeria’s squad to the Africa Women Cup of Nations in Ghana.

Nnadozie, who footballlive.ng recalls shot to limelight as first choice goalkeeper of the Falconets at this year’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in France, admitted she has a setback, but believes it will not stop her from making it to AWCON 2018 later this month.

She went on toe describe it as ‘a little knock,’ and enthused that she will be able to contest alongside three other goalkeepers in camp, then make the final list to the championship in Ghana, where Nigeria opens on November 18 against South Africa in Cape Coast.

Nnadozie said: “Charity John, Tochukwu Oluehi and Alaba Jonathan inspire me a lot when I am training with them because they are good goalkeepers.

“I pray I make it to the final list; though I am carrying a little knock but it shouldn’t be a problem.”
