Date:

Nigeria’s best moments at the 2018 FIFA World Cup – wasn’t the patterned Nike jersey – in the very brief 10 days the team spent in the tournament was the magic of one Man.

Ahmed Musa, he made the difference and was the produced the biggest moment of delight to the millions of Nigerian football fans, that followed the team’s performance in Russia.

The winger scored two spectacular goals; his first in particular a delightful sight.

After a first-half where the team had failed to register a single shot on target, the second half resumed with the Eagles displaying a little more confidence.

He controlled Victor Moses’ cross with one touch, setting himself up for an unstoppable half-volley with his second.

Both Musa’s strikes were warmly received by the crowd at the Volgograd Arena, many of whom are familiar with the striker from his spells at CSKA Moscow, per Annette Braun [FIFA]

Long after the tournament, fans were asked to pick their favourite World Cup memory from Volgograd… guess which topped the list?

Ahmed Musa not only scored a double in a crucial group-stage game but also became the first Nigerian in history to score at two FIFA World Cups.
