NPFL: Ajiboye proud after hard fought win

Date:

Plateau United goalkeeper Dele Ajiboye conceded his ‘pride’ after the Peace Boys picked up a 1-0 win over Go Round FC in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) week eight on Sunday.

A 77th minute strike from Jesse Akila helped the Jos based side pick all three points at home.

And the former Nigeria youth international has admitted that it was a great victory for his team.

“The main thing is that we were capable of reacting and in the end we won the match,” he told Footballlive.ng.

“I am very happy with the team’s victory. Plateau United always gives everything in every match. We are very proud and we managed to win.

“The players who come off the bench try to provide the team with our work. Every minute is welcome and you have to carry on working.

“I am very happy, not with my own game, but with the side’s victory. The coach has given me confidence, I am grateful and I will continue to work in order to maintain the situation.
