Bendel Insurance played out to a 0-0 draw with Kwara United in the week four of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) at the University of Benin Sports Complex on Wednesday.
The Benin Arsenal who were forced to a 1-1 draw by Remo Stars in their first game of the season on Sunday mounted pressure on their opponents, Kwara United throughout the game with the second half more interesting.
Speaking after the game, Edo state Deputy Governor Comrade Philip Shaibu said he was impressed with Insurance’s performance despite the goalless result.
He expressed confidence in the players and hoped for better results as the season progresses.
Also speaking, the assistant coach of Bendel Insurance, Baldwin Bazuaye expressed satisfaction with his boys’ performance. He corroborated the Deputy Governor, saying that the young team is work in progress that could shock the NPFL in future.
