Remo Coach Kennedy Boboye has hailed his team’s ability to “pick three points against Kwara United, reports Footballlive.ng.
The Sky Blue Stars had previously lost their last four games this season in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), but earned a shock 2-1 victory against Kwara United thanks to Ogwuche Kingsley’s brace at the Oshogbo Township Stadium on Thursday.
“We knew that we were facing a great team and that we couldn’t afford a single mistake. We made a few errors, but were able to react and earned three important points.
“It went well and we’re very happy with the victory. The team as a unit worked brilliantly, including in defence. Everybody worked hard and every now and then it’s good to get an important result at home.
“We should all be very proud to see Remo Stars play with open and attacking football. We always tried to play this way, but the difference is that sometimes we’re more clinical in the finish than on other occasions.
“This team can improve a great deal, as when you begin work, you have to give it all you’ve got.
