Akwa United defender, Matthew Etim has set his personal target ahead of the 2018/19 season.
The 29-year-old right back, who is in his second season with the Promise Keepers, aimed to hit the back of the net, and provide vital assists to his teammates.
“I did not score any goal last season, so I want to score and assists more this season by the grace of God,” Etim told footballlive.ng after training on Thursday.
The Homebased Super Eagles player, is hopeful the two-time domestic cup champions will secure a place in Caf Inter-Club competition this season.
“Last season we fought to make things go right [secure a continental spot], but the season ended unexpectedly.
“This season is going to be very good for us, because I’ve seen the qualities that have come around [potential signings] to train with us.
“I know with these crop of players, we will definitely get the continental ticket,” he concluded.
Etim joined Akwa United from Enugu Rangers on a two-year deal in January 2018.
