NPFL: Katsina United resumes training after three weeks break

‘The Changi Boys’ embarked on off-season break few days after they lost on penalty shootouts to rivals Kano Pillars in the 2018 NFF/Aiteo Cup semifinals at the Agege Stadium in Lagos haven beaten Kwara United 3 – 1 in the quarter finals

Yes, we had our first training session this evening after a 3-week holiday, and am sure the players and everyone is happy to be back.

We want to continue from where we stopped last season as it was obvious that our outing last season was extremely above average.

Our plan and goal is to ensure that we improve and do better than last season.

He regarding our team losing to Pillars in the Semifinals of the 2018 Aiteo Cup i see it as a painful loss.

Though we have now put that game behind us, I must admit that our loss to Kano Pillars in the semifinal of the Aiteo Cup was a painful one because it’s a game we dominated and should have won.

The former Katsina United ace concluded by appreciating Katsina United chairman Aminu Balele Kurfi and the entire management staff for the moral and financial support.

Katsina United finished last season 7th on the NPFL table with 27 points amassed from 24 games.
