The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has officially postponed the anticipated matchday 22 fixture between Rivers United and Niger Tornadoes.
Initially scheduled for Wednesday, March 28, 2024, at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, the match will now be rescheduled for a later date to be determined by the NPFL.
The league organization cited the compelling reason for the postponement as Rivers United’s engagement in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Pride of Rivers is set to face Dreams FC of Ghana in a crucial group stage match at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, on Sunday, March 3, 2024. A win in this encounter is vital for Rivers United to secure a spot in the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.
