Former Super Eagles striker, Victor obinnan Nsofor has added his voice to reactions trailing the sack of Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, as he says he owes the Portuguese tactician for his breakthrough into European soccer.
Footballlive.ng reports that Nsofor has taken his mind back to how he got his debut at Inter Milan of Italy during the days of Mourinho with The Nerazzurri, and ‘For Real’ says he will never forget how ‘The Special One’ mentored him.
Mourinho was Inter’s manager when Nsofor arrived the San Siro club from Chievo Verona in 2008 and the Portuguese gaffer featured the then 22-year-old forward in nine Serie A matches, including three starts.
That remarkable scorecard came during Nsofor’s first season at the Milan-based club, such that ‘The Rave of The Moment’ cannot forget the impact Mourinho had on his career.
Nsofor went on to win the Serie A title with Inter in the 2008-2009 season under Mourinho, such that he holds fond memories of the renowned manager, who he tagged the best coach he ever had.
He eulogized: ”I owe him everything, he wanted me and I made my first start in the big match against Roma.
“He makes you feel important even if you do not play, it would be a dream to see him again coach Inter Milan to counter Juve’s dominance. “
