Super Eagles invitee and Kano Pillars forward, Nyima Nwagua has celebrated his strike partner Junior Lokosa on his official 2017/2018 golden boots presentation award and grand prize of 3.8 million for scoring the highest goals in the country’s premier league in the previous season.
Lokosa who scored a total of 19 goals last season in the Nigeria Professional Football League was presented with the award and prize money at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Lagos.
Footballlive.ng gathered that Nwagua who is Lokosa’s strike partner at the level on his twitter handle wrote. “Congratulations to my Good friend, club roommate, strike partner among all, @JuniorLokosa1 for winning the
first edition of the #EunisellBoot.”
The prize money of N3.8 million was calculated at N200, 000 per goal by sponsor of the award Eunisell.
Junior Lokosa and teammate Nyima Nwagua have both been placed on the standby list of the Super Eagles as the team prepares to face the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in a crucial 2019 AFCON qualifiers on the 17th of November in Johannesburg and a friendly against the Cranes of Uganda at the Stephen Keshi stadium in Asaba on the 20th of November.
