Rivers United treated their home crowd to a win over Doma United, a game that was won by fine margins afterall.
Nyima Nwagua scored all three goals as Rivers United took all three points from their upside opponents.
Nwagua scored his first in the seventh minute to set the tone of the game. Doma struck a punch of their own in the 32nd minute and restored parity to the proceedings. Both teams went into the halftime break level at 1-1.
Nwagua turned on immediately the whistle blew in the second half, and he got his brace in the 47th minute. Rivers United tried again for a third goal and it came in the 55th minute as the 30 year old completed his hatrick, and giving his side breathing room.
Doma United did not surrender and they kept pushing, they got a goal in the 88th minute to spark a faint comeback. The goal would only be a consolation as the game ended 3-2, and Doma missed out on points on an away trip.
The win puts Rivers United on 27 points at 10th place, with Doma staying with 32 points on 6th position.
