Nwakali Aims To Build On 90 Minutes With Porto

Date:

FC Porto of Portugal midfielder, Kelechi Nwakali has declared that he wants to continue waxing strong with the club’s B-squad, following his first feel of 90 minutes of action with the team in five months.

The last time Nwakali found himself anywhere near the Porto team’s mainframe was in August last year but, after going the whole hog in their 1-0 win away to Sporting Braga B in the second division league, he is now thinking on the bright side once again.

Footballlive.ng reports that Nwankali and fellow-former Golden Eaglets star, Musa Yahaya were both in enterprising form, as they combined well to help Porto B climb to ninth position on the table.

Yahaya was deployed as a right-wing-back in the encounter, during which he got a yellow card, but Nwakali came through without blemish, with a performance that bettered his cameo role in the previous fixture.

Nwakali declared: “It feels good returning to the team. Now we have a game on Sunday so we will try and win it to improve our position on the league table.”
