Fast-rising football brothers, Kelechi and Chidiebere Nwakali have both expressed delight over their simultaneous invitation to the senior national team, as they have been called up for action with the home-based Eagles against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday in Uyo.
Both youngsters are FIFA U-17 World Cup winners, with Kelechi leading the Golden Eaglets to glory as skipper at Chile 2015, just two years after his older brother was part of the cadet squad that won same competition at UAE 2013.
They now aim to trail the Odegbami, Utaka and Uche brothers, who all played for the Eagles are various periods, with high hopes off going a step further with glorious days rolling together in the same set the national team.
This comes after Eagles assistant coach, Salisu Yusuf released a 23-man squad for the friendly against newly –crowned Europa League kings, Atletico Madrid at Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
Other key members of the team who have also been invited are Plateau United striker, Tosin Omoyele, Katsina United midfielder, Destiny Ashadi, Akwa United goalkeeper, Olorunleke Ojo.
All invited players are expected to arrive at Bolton White Apartments Hotel, Abuja on Friday, 18th May before the contingent moves to Uyo at the weekend.
