Nwakali May Opt For Permanent Aberdeen Stay

UAE 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup gold medallist, Chidiebere Nwakali may take an option of sticking permanently with Aberdeen of Scotland, following the expiration of his contract at Manchester City of England.

A long stay in Scotland now looms for the older of two Nwakali brothers with a history of different glorious years with the Eaglets had been on loan at The Dons from Man City, where he signed in 2013 but never got to stay for a short spell at Etihad Stadium.

This follows reports that City will officially release Nwakali from their payroll when his contract expires this month.

Since joining City, the 21-year-old midfielder has spent five seasons on loan to five clubs, but his most productive spell came last season at Aberdeen.

Nwakali’s five year deal at the club signed in 2013 will expire on the 30th of July and, after his failure to progress to The Citizens’ main team like Kelechi Iheanacho, the Etihad club have decided to end their association with him.
