IF Elfsborg of Sweden new arrival, Chinedu Obasi (Edu) has pledged to put in total effort and full commitment for the club’s vision of a glorious season in the Allvenskan, as he says the club ought to be higher than they currently are.
Speaking at the onset of his fourth port of call in Scandinavia, Obasi disclosed that three of his teammates, who have been his friends at previous stops in the region, convinced him to join Elfsborg, and said they are all determined to help the team back where they belong.
Although Elfsborg are flirting with relegation, Obasi has set his mind on making the best of his deal till the end of the season and help the club climb high.
The former TSG Hoffenheim and Schalke 04 forward was released from a pay-as-you-play contract at English Championship club, Bolton Wanderers last season.
The 32-year-old Obasi previously posted two spells at another Swedish club, AIK Solna, as well as at Chinese second division club, Shenzhen.
