FC Zurich of Switzerland striker, Stephen Odey has expressed delight over his ninth goal overall in the season with his club, as he was yet again on song in the Swiss Super League, footballlive.ng can report.
The former Mountain of Fire & Miracles Ministry (MFM) FC of Lagos youngster was excited, after he helped Zurich beat Blessing Eleke’s FC Luzern 5-2 on Sunday.
During the match at at Swissporarena, the 20-year-old Odey hit the net in the 27th minute put his side ahead, after Toni Domgjoni scored for the visitors five minutes into the encounter and Eleke equalized for the home side.
Following Odey’s effort, Benjamin Kololli and Antonio Marchesano extended Zurich’s lead, but Ruben Vargas pulled one back for Luzern before Adrian Winter ensured maximum points for Zurich.
Odey has now scored nine goals in all competitions, and his latest effort helped Zurich climb to third on the table with 20 points from 13 matches.
However, they are still three points behind FC Basel, who are within the UEFA Champions League bracket along with runaway leaders Young Boys, but Odey is optimistic his side can still reach the top.
