Oduamadi Declares Self Back Into Prominence

Date:

Former AC Milan of Italy prodigy, Nnamdi Vincent Oduamadi (Robinho) is again in the news and has declared himself back into prominence, as he seeks to rebuild a career that once looked very promising.

Footballlive.ng reports that, during the height of his breakthrough, ‘Odu’ enacted a rare feat as the first Nigerian player to score a hat-trick in a senior FIFA competition, when he netted three goals against Tahiti at the 2013 Confederation Cup in Brazil.

However, things soon went on a downhill slide for the slender lad, who hails from Imo State but grew up Orile-Iganmu area of Lagos, from where he made his mark with Dama Boys, National Grassroots Dream Team and Flying Sports Academy.

However, after joining Milan from Genoa in 2011, he failed to make the senior ranks at Milan, and was shipped out on loan in quick succession to the Italian quintet of Torino,  Varese, Brescia, Crotone and Latina, then had deals at Şanlıurfaspor of Turkey and HJK Helsinki of Finland.

Following a botched attempt to take his trade to Israel at the start of last year, he eventually landed at FK Tirana of Albania, which used to have on their cards another Nigerian kid, Abraham Alechenu.

Oduamadi now appears determined to get his career back on track, as he took to social media on Friday to declare he is back, with several posts, including one in which he is dancing in a video with his mum, depicting his glee, and he declared curtly: “Be valuable not available. Odu is back.”
