Lobi Stars of Makurdi coach, Solomon Ogbeide has downplayed effects of his side’s 1-0 to USM de Loum of Cameroon in their first match of the CAF Champions League preliminaries.
Ogbeide said he now has a very good idea of how de Loum play and footballlive.ng reports that he believes his side will beat them with a wider margin in Makurdi next Wednesday, then advance to the first round of the African elite clubs’ competition.
The veteran tactician boasted that the Middle Belt side will thrash the Cameroonians at Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi next week and move ahead into the main draw of the money-spinning continental competition.
Ogbeide stressed: “We now know the way they play, we have seen their danger men. We have seen them and we will roast them in Makurdi.
“The goal against us was a fluke, it was a weak shot which should not have beaten my goalkeeper, and it came against the run of play.
“It was not that they were the better team. We will now go back home and correct all the mistakes.”
