Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Israel midfielder, John Ugochukwu Ogu (Suker) has parried talk and insinuations in certain quarters that he is disappointed not to have featured in the Super Eagles’ 3-0 spanking of Seychelles on Saturday.
Though the tall left-footed versatile player admitted he would have loved to play a part in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, Ogu said he was glad to see the squad win, and hailed them for putting up such a great performance on the tough synthetic pitch of Stade Linite.
The former Academica de Coimbra of Portugal star took to social media to reveal his glee and positive emotions about the match in Seychelles, and added that it is an indicating that the Eagles are set to go all the way to AFCON 2019 in Cameroon.
Ogu tweeted: “Great team performance from the boys on a strong and tough synthetic pitch. Naija all the way.”
