Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Israel midfielder, John Ugochukwu Ogu has predicted a better team performance for the Super Eagles against Czech Republic on Wednesday, than they had versus England last Saturday.
Heading into the 2pm kick-off at Schwechat Stadium, Ogu said he was happy for his personal contributions that steadied Nigeria’s ship on Saturday, but said the whole team will rise to the occasion on Wednesday.
The former Academica de Coimbra of Portugal towering left-footer stated further that the Eagles’ last pre-World Cup fixture against the Czech will be a better outing compared to their last two fixtures against DR Congo and England.
Nigeria head into the clash hoping to halt a three-game winless run, against a side hoping to bounce back from a 4-0 loss suffered last week against Australia.
Ogu noted that all players have been working effortlessly round the clock to ensure they perfect their strategies ahead of the important clash in Austria.
“We know Nigerians are expecting the best from us; it won’t be an easy game but we are working hard here.
- “The manager and staff members are doing all to put us in the best shape and I am confident we will put up a better outing than our previous games,” Ogu concluded.
