Ogunbote Charges Rangers Against Ethiopian Visitors

Date:

Rangers International of Enugu coach, Gbenga Ogunbote has charged his players to go for victory in their opening match of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminaries on Wednesday, against Defense Force of Ethiopia.

Although Ogunbote admitted he knows little about the invaders from The Horn of Africa, footballlive.ng can report that the veteran coach is counting on The Flying Antelopes’ fighting spirit to give them victory.

Ogunbote stressed that full determination and playing to all technical instructions will give The Coal City side maximum points at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Ogui Road, Enugu.

The former Shooting Stars of Ibadan, Sunshine Stars of Akure and Enyimba of Aba gaffer also urged Rangers’ fans to troop out en masse and support the club to victory, in order to get the perfect start to their continental campaign and strong ground for the reverse fixture.

Ogunbote said: “I call on our teaming supporters to come out in their numbers and cheer us to a good win.

“We are condemned to play our game and get the needed result that will make the return leg inconsequential.”
