Ogunbote, Silas Confident Against Etoile On Sunday

Date:

Rangers International of Enugu coach, Gbenga Ogunbote and scorer of their lone goal in last weekend’s 2-1 loss to Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia in the CAF Confederation Cup, Bright Silas are both exuding confidence of a very deep level ahead of the second leg on Sunday.

Although Ogunbote and Silas both admitted tactical laxity and careless decisions by the squad occasioned their slump in defeat during the first leg last Sunday, despite getting the first goal, they both believe it will be a different story at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

The Flying Antelopes’ duo stressed that they have put behind them the disappointment of losing their first match in this season’s second-tier continental competition and all they are now thinking of is righting all wrongs with a better performance at The Cathedral.

Footballlive.ng gathered further that Ogunbbote and Silas are leading the battle cry for all The Coal City side’s squad members to rise up to the occasion on Sunday and pick the chestnut out of the fire.

Ogunbote said: “All we can do is take the positive things from this game and wait for the return leg.”

Silas added: “We tried our best but we didn’t expect the game to turn out like this. We’re hoping we can play better in the next game.”
