Remo Stars head coach Daniel Ogunmodede has emphasized his commitment to surpassing the team’s performance from last season, expressing optimism about their current standing and the possibility of winning the league title.
Ogunmodede conveyed a sense of resilience and determination, acknowledging that while he can’t control the doubts of fans, he is dedicated to ensuring that his team gives their best effort in the remaining matches.
In a candid statement, Ogunmodede shared his thoughts on the team’s goals and the importance of maintaining a fighting spirit:
“Personally, as a coach, I can only control what I give to the players, I can only control what I want. But I can’t control the doubt of the fans. All I know is we want to do better than what we did last season. We want to be better than what we did last season. And we are still on course. And we’ll never back down. We will always stand on our ground. I’m not the type that give up on my dream, for myself. And as much, I try to transmit this to my players. You know, so I can only continue to work.”
Ogunmodede also highlighted the immediate goal of securing the remaining six points available in the season, which could potentially lead to winning the league title. Despite acknowledging the unpredictability of the final outcomes, he stressed the importance of perseverance and continued effort:
“We know there is six points possibility of grabbing now, so we go for it. But at the end, the outcome is the outcome. And for sure, the only thing I can promise the fans is we won’t stop fighting, we won’t stop giving our best.”
