Elkanemi Warriors forward Michael Ohanu, says one of the things he is looking forward to is the Northern derby derby against Kano Pillars.
The striker has been rising steadily in his career. He had an impressive 2017 season for Kwara United with 25 goals in the Nigeria National League.
His displays caught the eye of Warriors, and he has accounted for three goals since his mid season move from Kwara United.
Ohanu admits the prospect of playing in the Northern derby gives him butterflies in his stomach.
“That’s one of the games I’m actually looking forward to playing in and waiting for. There’s another derby to look forward to,” the striker said in a chat with FootballLive.ng.
“The game will determine a lot for us. It’s not just a derby but a very crucial one for the entire team.
“Our position in the table is very worrisome. It doesn’t reflect our true performance. With 14 more games more we want to fix things right and it begins with the trip to Kano,” he explained.
The Desert Warriors will lock horns with Masu Gida at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Wednesday 18th July.
