Striker David Okereke failed to add to his goal tally as Spezia crashed 2-1 at home to Hellas Verona in the Italian Serie B on Sunday.
David Okereke, who is a product of the Football College in Abuja, started his professional career at Italian side Lavagnese before moving to Spezia in 2016.
He went on to make his debut against Novara on the 9th of April, 2016. He has scored six goals in 19 games for Spezia this season.
The skillful lad was included in the 18-man squad of Spezia for the cracker at the Stadio Alberto Picco.
Okereke was eventually listed in the starting line up but failed to hit the back of the net.
He was sacrificed for Emmanuel Quartsin Gyasi in the 58th minute.
With the result, Spezia are seventh on the Serie B ladder.
