Former Super Eagles captain, Austin Okocha has disclosed how happy he was getting the opportunity to meet retired Jamaican sprinter, Usain Bolt over the weekend.
Earlier this year, Bolt who is a staunch Manchester United fan, took part in an open training session with Borussia Dortmund’s first team at their Strobelallee Training Centre.
The ex-athlete and football lover has also repeatedly declared his interest to play for The Red Devils now that he has retired as a sprinter.
After bringing an end to his successful athletics career in 2017, the eight-time Olympics gold medallist revealed his intention to play football.
The 11 time World Champion may have used the opportunity to learn some football skills from Okocha, who fans of his former club, Bolton Wanderers of England say ‘was named twice’ because he was so good in the round leather game.
Okocha took to the social media to share a snap with the Jamaican, who holds the world record of 9.58 seconds for 100m.
The former soccer star achieved a ‘cross-sports’ affinity with Bolt, which he believes was worth sharing on social media and he promptly went on to post the moment to cherish for posterity.
So, Okocha treated his 174,000 Instagram followers with the stellar picture of himself and the 8th time Olympic Gold medalist, Usain Bolt which he captioned, “With the fastest man on earth.”
