Anthony Okpotu has joined Moroccan club Difaa El Jadidi from Lobi Stars for an undisclosed fee, and he could be registered for the CAF Champions League this season.
The Nigeria International, wo led the Super Eagles attack line in the 2018 CHAN tournament hosted by Morocco, was the NPFL’s top scorer last season.
It is the striker’s second spell in Northern Africa, after a previous campaign in Libya with Al-Ittihad.
This summer transfer window, Okpotu had been linked with several European clubs including Brondby of Denmark, where he underwent a week-long trial.
Although there has been no official confirmation of the duration of the contract, footballlive sources say the striker signed a 2-year deal.
Difaa El Jadidi are currently third in group B of the CAF Champions League; behind TP Mazembe and MC Alger.
