Promising talent, Orji Okwonkwo was in mixed feelings following Bologna’s 2-0 loss to Cagliari at the Sardegna Arena on Saturday, reports Footballlive.ng.
The former youth international climbed off the bench to replace Diego Falcinelli in the Serie A match.
“It was a very bitter pill to swallow. We wanted to pick at least a point but ended up going home empty handed,” Orji Okwonkwo mused to Footballlive.ng.
“It’s just one of those days when you put in so much and end up on the losing side.”
Orji Okwonkwo expressed his joy at getting game time under his belt in the match.
“I’m happy with my progress at Bologna. It’s a steady process. I’m work in progress.”
“My gratitude to the technical staff for believing in me,” he added.
