Olayinka Nets Brace in Red Star Win

Date:

Red Star Belgrade continued their impressive form with a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Čukarički at the Rajko Mitić Stadium. Despite already having secured the league title, Red Star showed no signs of complacency as they put on a dominant display.

The match started with an unexpected twist as the visitors took the lead in the 16th minute. Viltor Rogan found the back of the net, assisted by Vinicius Mello, to give Čukarički a surprise 1-0 advantage. However, this early goal only served to awaken the champions.

Red Star responded strongly and equalized in the 32nd minute through Peter Olayinka. Ognjen Mimović provided the assist, setting up Olayinka to level the score. The home side continued to press, and their persistence paid off early in the second half.

In the 55th minute, Olayinka struck again, this time assisted by Aleksandar Katai, to put Red Star ahead. The champions were now in full control and extended their lead in the 79th minute when Nasser Djiga made it 3-1.

As the match neared its conclusion, Jean Philippe Krasso added the fourth goal in the 90th minute, sealing a convincing victory for Red Star. The champions have now accumulated 96 points with one game left in the season, showcasing their dominance in the league.

Čukarički, despite their early lead, were unable to cope with Red Star’s relentless attacking pressure and remain on 57 points.
