Dutch lower division club, Fortuna Sittard announced the decision to part ways with the Nigerian for what it describes as “inadmissible actions” that have caused a breakdown of cooperation between him, the management and players.
In a statement on its website, the Club expressed stated, that the decision to cut ties with the 43-year-old had nothing to do with on-field results.
The statement in part read:
The board of Fortuna Sittard emphasizes that the decision to disband Sunday Oliseh is not motivated by the current sporting performance.
Because of his inadmissible actions, the coach has made the cooperation with many people within the organization impossible. From players to employees.
Fortuna Sittard regrets the decision, but states that the club interest goes above all else.
Meanwhile last month the club denied reports it had sacked the former Nigeria Coach, when the team’s poor form persisted.
Currently, the club is on a four-game losing streak and have dropped to third on the table – though they finished the first half of the season on top.
Oliseh, who was brought on board by Sittard in 2016 in their dire strait, has not issued any official statement on the development.
