Former Nigeria captain and coach Sunday Oliseh has lauded Alex Iwobi for his performance in the first-half of Saturday’s premier League match between Arsenal and Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Iwobi made his first league start for the Gunners this season and the 22-year-old were very much involved.
The Nigeria international netted a 41st minute leveler as the first half ended 2-2.
Oliseh, who gave the Young winger his first cap, tweeted:
Just love everything about Alex Iwobi’s performance this 1st half Chelsea vs Arsenal. Making Nigeria proud !!

Chelsea had raced to a two-goal lead in the first half, with goals from Pedro (9′) and Alvaro Morata (20′) before Arsenal launched a come back.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan struck first after Iwobi’s effort was blocked. The ball richochetted into the Armenian’s path and he struck it hard and low to beat Chelsea’s £71million-rated goalie on the 37th minute.
Four minutes later, the visitors drew level through Iwobi, who hit a venomous shot effort into the roof of the net. He missed a chance to get a brace just minutes later as his shot flew just narrowly over the cross bar.
