CD Leganes of Spain defender, Kenneth Omeruo has admitted that the fear of Diego Costa and Antonie Grizmann is the beginning of wisdom for his side, as they prepare to host Atletico Madrid in La Liga.
Omeruo is heading for his sixth start with the club he joined on loan from Chelsea in the summer and, though his side will be at home, footballllive.ng can report he is already getting sleepless nights over the prospects of stopping Costa and Griezmann.
Omeruo admitted as much in his preview to Saturday’s home fixture, as he admitted his team face a difficult home game against Atletico’s array of stars, led by Griezmann and Costa.
On Tuesday, Omeruo made his Copa del Rey debut for Leganes at home against Rayo Vallecano, in a tie that finished 2-2, but he wants better results for his side, who are 18th in La Liga with eight points from 10 matches, while Atletico are fifth with 19 points.
Omeruo stated: “I am looking forward to the game. We are playing at home and so we have an advantage, but it won’t be easy against the likes of Diego and Griezmann.”
