Former Standard Liege of Belgium, ADO Den Haag of Holland, Middlesbrough of England defender, Kenneth Omeruo is heading back to Chelsea in search of more relevance next season, following his good-bye message to Kasimpasa of Turkey.
Omeruo makes his return to Chelsea official, after announcing his departure from the Turkish Super Lig club, where he got 28 top-flight appearances and scored a goal, which came against Konyaspor.
The dark-skinned central defender, who is in Nigeria’s 30-man provisional list for the 2018 World Cup, returned for a second loan spell with Kasımpaşa in August 2017.
Omeruo’s decision to return to The Apaches proved to be the right one for him, as he got back to top form and has earned a spot on Nigeria’s preliminary World Cup roster.
This comes after he was omitted from the Super Eagles squad for their first game of the 2017-2018 campaign against Cameroun as a result of his inactivity for Chelsea’s first team during pre-season training.
