Omeruo Takes La Liga Debut Spirit To Eagles’ Camp

Date:

Leganes of Spain defender, Kenneth Omeruo has declared that he will storm the Super Eagles’ camp in Uyo on the strength of his debut in La Liga last weekend, as he admits it was a huge opportunity for him to show the stuff he is made of.

Amidst reports that he was billed to land in Uyo early Tuesday, after footballlive.ng learnt he got a late flight out of Spain, Omeruo stressed that his La Liga debut on Saturday was a huge boost to his confidence.

Omeruo, who is on loan at Leganes from Chelsea, added that he is delighted to get victory with his side on his Liga debut, and believe the euphoria of that feat will help him shine for the Eagles against Libya.

Although he admitted Libya will come with a desire to return home with at least a draw, Omeruo stressed that the Eagles will emerge victorious because of their pedigree, quality players, good coaches and great fans.

Omeruo added: ”We will be up against a strong Libyan side. But we are the Super Eagles and we have a great squad.
”We will give our all to pick maximum six points from both games. I have confidence in the entire crew.

”We urge our fans to get behind us and give us all the support. We will not disappoint you all.”
