Leganes of Spain defender, Kenneth Omeruo has declared that he and his colleagues in the Super Eagles will be all out to snatch home and away victories against Libya, as he says they have set their sight on getting six points from the upcoming matches.
Heading into the first leg between both sides at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo this Saturday, footballlive.ng can report that Omeruo believes the best way to put Nigeria’s AFCON 2019 hope on solid ground is by getting maximum points from both matches.
Omeruo admitted it will be a tough encounter, as the Libyans are top of the group and will not relinquish their spot without a fight, but the lad on loan from Chelsea says the Eagles are determined to turn the tide.
He added that the Eagles’ technical crew, led by Gernot Rohr, are up to the task of lining out the right set of players and marshaling them to play winning tactics, which he believes would be good enough in Uyo and Sfax, Tunisia next Tuesday.
Omeruo stressed: “We will be up against a strong Libyan side but we are the Super Eagles and we have a great squad.
“We will give our all to pick maximum six points from both games. I have confidence in the crew. We urge all our fans to get behind us and give us all the support. We will not disappoint.”
