Super Eagles and Leganes central defender Kenneth Omeruo says three points against Seychelles is non negotiable,” reports Footballlive.ng.
The Eagles have a crucial 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Seychelles this weekend.
Nigeria will hope to reinvigorate their qualification with a win in a Group E clash with the Pirates at the Stade Linite on Saturday. Kickoff is 1:30pm Nigerian Time.
“It is amazing. Everyone is in good spirit and ready for the game. Hopefully we would win on Saturday,” Omeruo told Footballlive.ng.
“We are going to give everything to ensure that we leave this place in happy mood. Three points is non negotiable. They lost 5-1 to Libya. We have to win convincingly.
“We have some of our players that didn’t make it to this game. We have the quality to pick three points,” the on loan Chelsea player continued
Omeruo also reflected on his new club Leganes and his aspirations for the 2018/19 season.
“I’m yet to make my debut for Leganes. I was looking forward to playing against Real Madrid last weekend but due to technical reasons the dream was extinguished.
“I hope to have a great season for Leganes in all competitions in Spain,” he added.
