Omeruo’s Future At Leganes Still Unsettled

Date:

Leganes of Spain defender, Kenneth Omeruo is yet to get a final word of his future with the club, once his current loan deal from Chelsea comes to an end.

Footballlive.ng gathered that, though Omeruo has always stated that he wants to stay put at Leganes rather than return to Stamford Bridge, the matte might be out of his hands.

Omeruo is yet to play a single competitive match with Chelsea, since joining them in 2012 from Standard Liege of Belgium, as he has been loaned at several times.

The setting has emboldened him to seek a permanent stay with Leganes, but the Spanish side are said to be undecided over the option.

Rather than state categorically what they plan for Omeruo, Leganes are yet to contact Chelsea over a permanent deal that could cost them €8m.

The dark-skinned stopper’s top form in La Liga has sparked speculation that he would stay put with a permanent contract in the summer.

However, signals in that direction are meant to start unfolding from the January transfer window, but Leganes want to confirm their top flight status before approaching Chelsea for Omeruo’s permanent deal.
