Omolayo Ibrahim tips Gateway United to stage return to NPFL after eight years in the wilderness

Date:

Gateway United will stage a return to the Nigerian top flight, according to the club’s central defender Omolayo Ibrahim.

United are fifth in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Group B1 with 10 points.

The former Niger Tornadoes and ABS FC star has assured that the Abeokuta club will soon regain their place in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after an eight-year absence.

“We are really working towards a promotion back to the elite league because all hands are on deck now to make our promotion possible this year,” Omolayo Ibrahim told Footballlive.ng.

“We want to make a big statement when the NNL resumes in the second round.

“I am at this club because I wish to be part of history at the end of the season, when we will take the team back to the Nigeria Professional Football League.”
