Nogoom FC of Egypt are celebrating the arrival of highly-rated attacker, Tosin Omoyele from Plateau United of Jos, in a six-month loan deal that will see him link up with largely unknown Nigerian defender, Michael Azekhumen at the modest club, footballlive.ng can report.
Although Omoyele had initially been tipped for a deal in Europe early this year, the fair-skinned youngster has settled for Nogoom to set his career abroad on track, though the club stands 14th on the league log.
Just as Nogoom’s top brass and coach, Antonio Calderon were sounding lyrical over their ability to hook Omoyele, the lad fondly called ‘Paul Scholes of Nigeria’ is also happy with the deal.
Omoyele, who joined Plateau United from Osun United of Osogbo, but had trials with Stabaek and Valerenga of Norway last year, said he wants to make a huge mark with Nogoom, which came into existence in 2006.
He added: “I am delighted to continue my journey. It’s an honour to play for this club.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank all staff of Plateau United, my teammates and the fans who show support for my game.”
