Trabzonspor of Turkey midfielder, Eddy Ogenyi Onazi has disclosed that he is already feeling better after surgery, and enthused that he will soon be back in action for club and country.
Although Trabzonspor are yet to fix any definite date for Onazi’s full recovery, after taking surgery on Monday for an injury he copped last weekend, footballive.ng can report that the star is staying positive.
Onazi, who ruptured his Achilles on Sunday, in Trabzonspor’s 4-1 win against Rizespor in Turkish Super Lig game, had successful surgery on Monday in Istanbul, Turkey.
Rather than be disillusioned by the latest injury setback, which meant he celebrated his birthday and Christmas in hospital, Onazi disclosed that he has been encouraged by love from his club and fans worldwide.
Onazi is also singing praises for the Trabzon-based club’s president, Ahmet Ağaoğlu, who visited him in hospital and celebrated his 26th birthday by feeding him some cake.
Onazi stated: “Big thanks to our president @agaoglu1967 who was with me for more than ten hours and also for the birthday surprise.
“Thank you all for your prayers and support, surgery was perfect and am feeling much better. God bless you all. I will be back soon by his grace.”
