Trabzonspor of Turkey midfiedler, Eddy Ogenyi Onazi is scheduled to return to the Turkish Super Lig club this Friday for the start of preseason training with the team.
Though summer transfer speculation is again swirling round the former SS Lazio of Italy battler, Onazi appears inclined towards another season with the Trabzon-based side, he joined in 2016.
Since arriving from Lazio for £4.5m, Onazi has made 61 appearances, scoring five goals and providing three assists, but the 25-year-old Super Eagles star has been linked with a two Russian clubs this summer.
For now, though, he is sticking pout with the Turkish Super Lig side and will start training on Friday, after being granted an extended break, due to his participation at the World Cup in Russia with the Eagles.
That meant he missed the first part of pre-season in Turkey last week, but will now join the squad before their departure to Slovenia where they will play four friendly games.
Trabzonspor, who finished fifth last season in the Turkish Lig, will face Slovene side, NK Triglav Kranj on Sunday in their first pre-season friendly before taking on NK Lokomotiva Zagreb of Croatia two days later.
The team will then depart for Austria on Wednesday, to face Spartak Moscow of Russia on the 20th of July, while their final game will be against Al Duhail of Qatar.
