Atalanta winger, Ademola Lookman has described their 3-0 triumph over Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final on Wednesday as one of the best nights of his career.
The 26 year-old scored twice in the first half and added another goal after the break, leading Atalanta to become the first Serie A team to win the Europa League title.
The victory also ended Leverkusen’s impressive 51-game unbeaten run.
“One of the best nights of my life. Amazing performance from the team, we did it, we did it, we did it! Not got much else to say but yeah, fantastic,” Ademola Lookman said.
He added, “They do always say third time lucky, so yeah it is for us today [winning a final at the third attempt this season]. I’m just happy we won. We won today so yes, very pleased.”
