New arrival at Al Najoom SC of Saudi Arabia, Paul Onobi has declared that he will give all he has to make the best of his deal with the oil rich club, as he admits it is a golden chance for him to revive his career.
The battling midfielder has been out of the international spotlight since moving abroad, following great exploits in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), but Onobi says he is happy to get another chance abroad and aims to make the best of it.
The former Enyimba of Aba, Sunshine Stars of Akure and Lobi Stars of Makurdi thrill maker, who started his overseas career in Finland, will now aim for his debut with Al Najoom away to Al Orubah in the season opener on Tuesday.
Aside from playing for the Super Eagles during the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, Onobi was also part of the home-based squad to the 2016 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) in Rwanda.
After he was handed a year’s deal by the Saudi club, Onobi expressed great delight at what he called another chance to revive his career.
“I am very happy with this move, it is a big chance for me to revive my career and I am ready to work very hard to make the best use of it,” the 25-year old rising star declared.
