Former Manchester City defender, Nedum Onuoha has been retained by Real Sat Lake FC of America, but footballlive.ng gathered that the Major League Soccer (MLS) side have dropped Sunday Stephen (Sunny).
Onuoha, who joined Real Salt Lake as a free agent in September 2018 and made a total of five appearances for the club, with four starts, will now compete in the next MLS season.
The former England under-21 national team captain is one of the players listed on the club’s active roster ahead of the incoming 2019 season.
On the other hand, Salt Lake cut short their contract option on Sunny and ten others, but the former Sup;er Eagles invitee and ex-Spain youth international would be eligible for re-entry.
The 30-year-old Sunny made 59 appearances for Real Salt Lake in the regular season during his time with the club, but scored a single goal.
