Super Eagles striker Henry Onyekuru scored his first professional hatrick on Saturday in the Turkish Super Lig as Galatasaray walloped Ankaragucu 6 – 0 at the Turk Telecom stadium.
The striker on loan from Everton FC in England scored his first goal of the match in the 21st minute to take the scoreline to 2 – 0 before two quick goals in the 60th and 63rd minute which ensured he takes he the match ball.
Forward Sinan Gunus also got two a brace in the encounter. The German player opened the scoring for Gala in the first minute before scoring how second of the day in the 26th minute to take the game to three nil. Senegalese midfielder Badou Ndiaye on loan from championship side Stoke City completed the rout in the 86th minute.
Onyekuru who celebrated his goal with the famous Zanku dance took to Instagram to celebrate the team’s win and his excitement after the victory; “The moves you make when you get your first hatrick. A great start to the year and all round good team performance.”
Onyekuru has been instrumental to Galatasaray’s wins this season after joining the Cimboms at the start of the season from Everton.
