Onyekuru Celebrates Goal Number Four In Turkey

Date:

Galatasaray of Turkey striker, Henry Onyekuru is celebrating his third and fought goals of the season with the club he joined in the summer, as he struck in their 3-0 win against Kayserispor.

Fopotballlive.ng reports that Onyekuru, who is on loan from Everton of England, hit target at Kadir Has Sehir Stadi on Saturday evening, to help Galatasaray climb to second position in the Turkish Super Lig.

Onyekuru ended a nine-game goal drought, as he first knocked in a rebound from close range in the first half, after the opposing goalkeeper parried the ball into his path, then got his brace in the second half of the pulsating tie.

Onyekuru then grabbed his brace on the evening by increasing the lead with 16 minutes left on the clock, thereby adding to his previous two goals that came against Göztepe and Alanyaspor in August, and the fleet-footed former KAS Eupen of Belgium star is back in business.

The 21-year-old Onyekuru, who has also played for RSC Anderlecht of Belgium, was on target in the 18th and 74th minutes to prove he has recovered fully from injury and will be available for selection for the Super Eagles in South Africa next weekend.

He has now scored four goals in 10 league appearances for Turkish Super Lig champions, who shot to second place on the table with 23 points from 12 matches, four points behind leaders Istanbul Basaksehir.

Onyekuru, who was named man of the match, with a game rating of 8.2, completed 55% of his passes, got 100% of his tackles and won six of his twelve duels contested.
