Former Nigerian international, Mobi Oparaku has said that he is happy and thanks God for the appointment of Emmanuel Amuneke. Amuneke was recently unveiled as the new head coach for Heartland in Owerri, as the club seeks to rebuild.
Mobi dubbed Amuneke as one of the best coaches around, tagging the tactician as a ‘brother’ and a ‘plus’ to the state.
“I’m happy, I thank God for the initiative to bring Emma (Amuneke) to Imo State, to Heartland because he’s been a plus since he came here and he’s been a brother since ever, and now I think he’s one of the best coaches you can ever engage in a team like Heartland”, Mobi stated.
He further added that there is improvement and progress in the team, and also an elevated level of interest from people as well.
“There’s so much improvement, there’s so much progress and progression. If you’re around here, you will know that people are starting to develop an interest on how to support Heartland in upcoming season and I can’t wait for them to start to be honest with you”, the former player added.
