Orban Scores In Lyon Friendly Win

Date:

Nigerian striker, Gift Orban helped himself to a goal as Olympique Lyon defeated Chassieu Decines 7-0. The 21-year-old moved from KAA Gent to the French top flight during the January transfer window, but he endured a poor first stint in France, after managing just 5 starts and scoring just once in his 13 total league appearances.

Orban scored the second goal of the rout from the penalty spot, his goal coming between Johann Lepenant’s goals as Lyon took a 3-0 lead at the halftime interval.

Other goalscorers in the game include: Romain Perret, Mama Balde and Enzo Molebe (brace).

The striker will be hoping to have a better time this coming season, especially with the team playing the UEFA Europa League this coming season.

Lyon have other friendlies lined up, and will take on WSG Tirol on Friday in their next fixture
