Super Falcons and Bay FC forward, Asisat Oshoala, was on target as Bay FC battled to a 1-1 draw against North Carolina Courage in their NWSL clash.
Oshoala opened the scoring for Bay FC in the tightly contested match, before Ashley Sanchez equalized for the hosts in the 25th minutes
Reflecting on the game, Oshoala said; “It was a good feeling especially for the team, great efforts from the guys against a very tough side.
They are a good team and play good football as well, it was difficult but we were able to get one point and it’s a big point for us.
This is one of the teams in the playoffs, and at this stage, every point we get is very important.
It was a good outing for us physically and mentally.”
This goal marks Oshoala’s fifth of the season as Bay FC extend their unbeaten run to three consecutive league games.
The team currently sits seventh on the table, with the top eight teams set to qualify for the championship playoffs after the regular season.
