Oshoala’s Return To China Delayed By Documents

Date:

Dalian Quanjian of China striker, Asisat Oshoala has found her expected return to the country where she plies her trade delayed by document issues, as she is facing some hitches in the renewal of her papers.

Footballlive.ng gathered that the situation also led to the exclusion of Oshoala’s name from the list of players named by Super Falcons coach, Thomas Dennerby for this month’s four-nation competition in China.

Although Oshoala has been assured that she will now be cleared at China’s embassy this Friday, January 18, her inability to renew the papers earlier was considered as a distraction that would not help her and the team, were she to be included in the Falcons’ plans.

Consequently, the former Robo Queens of Lagos and Rivers Angels of port Harcourt star was not named either as a midfielder or attacker for the Falcons trip to the country where she plies her trade, as she will not be there to tango China, Romania and Korea Republic in the four day event, which is billed to start on Thursday, 17th January.

While Oshoala has been left out, Dennerby settled for four midfielders in Amarachi Okoronkwo, Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, Rita Chikwelu and Halimat Ayinde; as well as seven forwards inRasheedat Ajibade, Anam Imo, Francisca Ordega, Chinaza Uchendu, Chinwendu Ihezuo, Ini-Abasi Umotong and Alice Ogebe.

In Oshoala’s absence, the African champions will aim to shine in China, at the start of their preparations for the 8th Women’s Mundial, which will also be preceded by a trip to Cyprus for another competition in April.
